Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received this Monday the National MMA Team, which won 13 medals, of which four gold, two silver and seven bronze, at the African MMA Championship, held in South Africa.
In the act that took place at the Palácio Presincial in Cidade Alta, the Head of State, João Lourenço, said that there are no words to express his joy at the fact that these young people “have brought us the continental victory of the MMA modality and that opens Angola to the possibility of participating in the world championship”
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the Executive that I lead, on behalf of the Angolans from Cabinda to Cunene, we would like to congratulate you and say that we are all very proud of the achievement that you have managed to achieve and we are certain that in the world championship you will be able to reach a place of stake”, stated João Lourenço.
The Angolan team is led by its Team Leader and president of the Federation, Armando Diogo, by the coaches Rui Monteiro, Edson Fonseca, Francisco Vasconcelos, Filde Timóteo, Jair Yoba, as well as the director Carlos Fernandes and the secretary of the Angolan Federation, José Gomes.
