Speaking to the press, the local head of the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP), João Gaspar, indicated that jobs were created in companies and factories such as EKA and textile (formerly Satec), ENDE and in the sectors hotels, livestock, among others.
João Gaspar stated that, since 2022, 289 professional internship scholarships have been allocated, valued at 16 million kwanzas.
As part of the same project, 134 professional cards were also given to young people who attended professional courses.
The professional internship is a program created within the scope of a partnership between the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP) and the Revitalization of Technical Education and Professional Training (RETFOR) project, with funding from the European Union.
RETFOR Internships are remunerated with a variable internship grant, indexed to the national minimum wage, depending on the intern’s qualifications and the company’s sector of activity.
Internship scholarships are financed by INEFOP at 90%, in the case of companies, or 100%, for non-profit institutions.
On the other hand, João Gaspar reported that within the framework of actions aimed at promoting self-employment and promoting employability, 9,573 direct and indirect jobs were created in the province, of which 8,628 jobs were created through self-employment, 774 through micro-credits and 171 through the adoption of professional internships.
The person responsible explained that, within the scope of PAPE, 2,019 professional kits linked to the areas of pastry, cooking, agriculture, electricity, masonry, retreading and carpentry were distributed.
He added that 258 young entrepreneurs benefited from micro-credits, worth 320 thousand kwanzas for each project.
In addition to PAPE, he reported, 2,179 candidates registered at employment and vocational training centers in the province to apply for work.
