Proposed law amending VAT code goes to general vote

Africa-Press – Angola. The Plenary of the National Assembly (AN) proceeds, Monday (14), to discuss and vote, in general terms, on the Draft Law that amends the Value Added Tax (VAT) Code.

According to a note from the AN the 8th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the 1st Legislative Session of the V Legislature will also vote, in general, on the Proposal for a Law that amends the Organic Law of the Courts of Relationship.

On the occasion, the Proposed Law on the Statute of Former Presidents of the Republic will go to the final global vote.

The plenary will also submit for discussion and voting on diplomas that authorize the President of the Republic, as Holder of Executive Power, to legislate on the Incentives to be Attributed to the Block 20/11 Concession Area, as well as on the Legal Regime of the Transit Activity.

Parliamentarians should also debate and vote on the draft resolutions on the activity reports of the National Electoral Commission and the Ombudsman, both referring to the year 2022, in addition to the Draft Resolution that changes the name of the 10th Specialized Work Commission of the National Assembly.

The ordinary plenary meeting will, on the other hand, discuss and vote on internal issues.

This chapter contains the draft Resolutions on the Proposed Expenditure Structure for the National Assembly Budget, referring to the 2024 Financial Year, and the Resolution approving the Report and Summary of Activities Developed during the 2022/2023 Parliamentary Year.
