Public procurement suspends company for non-compliance

Africa-Press – Angola. The company LUIGIMARCH, diverse solutions and service provision, Lda. is suspended from participating in public procurement procedures, for one year, due to complaints and verification of breach of contract with different Contracting Public Entities (EPC).

According to the notice of the National Public Procurement Service (SNCP) published this Tuesday, the measure has been in force since the 14th of June of the current year.

Therefore, it urges the Public Contracting Entities (EPC) to decline any initiative with the said company, in order to safeguard compliance with the public interest.

” The company LUIGIMARCH, Diverse Soluções & Prestação de Serviços, Lda. is prevented from participating in any public procurement procedure triggered in the country, as a candidate or competitor, by itself or through any association as it appears on the List of Prevented Companies, under the terms of paragraph f) of paragraph 1 of article 56 of the LCP.”, reads in the document.

In addition to the suspension of participation in public procurement procedures, the Public Contracting Entities targeted by such non-compliance are also triggering juridical-legal procedures with the competent authorities, in order to reimburse the State for the resulting damages.

According to the SNCP, non-compliance directly compromises the satisfaction of the needs of the population and disrupts the normal functioning of the projects and services contractually agreed by the EPC.

This time, SNCP calls on all State suppliers to scrupulously fulfill their contractual obligations.

The SNCP reiterates its commitment to promoting fair competition and transparency in all public procurement procedures and, at the same time, encourages EPCs to report any serious or repeated breaches of contract that result in early termination or the imposition of a fine, in the light of article 57 of the LCP, so that one can promptly act in defense of the collective interest.
