Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal headquarters of Londuimbali, Huambo province, has gained, in recent days, a new image as a result of the requalification of sidewalks and curbs, carried out by the local Administration.
The works, in progress since the beginning of this year, are being carried out within the scope of the Development Support Expenditure (DAD).
According to the administrator of the municipality of Londuimbali, Marcos Blasco Cachassile, speaking today, Friday, the project foresees the requalification of sidewalks and curbs, in a distance of 1,000 meters from the headquarters.
Alongside this, he made it known that maintenance work on the light fixtures and other services are being developed, such as the placement of gardens and leisure spots in the main arteries of the municipal town.
For the execution of the works, which are expected to be completed later this year, he said that the local Administration estimates to invest more than 20 million kwanzas.
The municipality of Londuimbali, whose seat is 97 kilometers from the city of Huambo, has an estimated population of 134,801 inhabitants, spread over the communes of Alto Hama, Cumbira, Galanga, Sede and Ussoque, according to recent data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
