Africa-Press – Angola. The general secretary of the Union of Angolan Journalists (SJA), Teixeira Cândido, recommended this Friday, in Luanda, that media professionals practice plural, open journalism that serves the public interest
According to the union leader, who was speaking at a meeting with the Committee on Culture, Religious Affairs, Social Communication, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly, more work is needed to achieve recommended journalism.
He said to the 7th specialized committee of Parliament that he had presented the general framework of social communication, in particular of Rádio Nacional de Angola and Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA), working conditions for all bodies, among other issues.
Created on March 28, 1992, the Union of Angolan Journalists (SJA) constitutes the largest organization of Angolan media professionals and aims to defend the journalistic class, promote press freedom, consultation and dialogue with employers. It is represented in all provinces.
