Africa-Press – Angola. Sixteen vehicles with tanks adapted for fuel smuggling purposes were recently seized in Cabinda by the National Police, it was learned this Tuesday.

The respective tanks were adapted to reserve between 50 and 100 liters of gasoline, diesel and oil, which were presumably destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), according to a press.

According to the document, altering fuel depots continues to be a tactic used by smugglers to divert the attention of National Police personnel.

In addition to the vehicles, 86 drums of 25 to 30 liters of fuel each were also seized.

The seizure of these products, sent to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), was carried out during the operation carried out as part of traffic inspection.
