Social reintegration of former soldiers ends Thursday

Africa-Press – Angola. The process of social reintegration of ex-soldiers demobilized in 1992 and 2002, in Lunda Norte province, within the framework of the Bicesse Accords and Lusaka protocol, between the Government and the UNITA party, ends Thursday.

To this end, the Secretary of State for Social Action, Lúcio do Amaral, is since Wednesday morning, in Lunda Norte province, to preside over the closing ceremony of the governed process.

The ceremony will be marked with the delivery of kits for the promotion of trade and agriculture, benefiting 47 former soldiers.

The work agenda of the Secretary of State for Social Action also reserves a visit to the refugee settlement of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), located in the municipality of Lôvua.

The delegation, which includes the Secretary of State for Former Combatants, André Tchicanha, and the director general of the Institute for Social Reintegration of Ex-Military Men (IRSEM), was received in an audience by the provincial governor, Deolinda Ódia Vilarinho Satula.
