Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of JURA in the province of Huambo, Arlindo Hombo Mangango, reaffirmed Wednesday, the organization’s commitment to the challenges of preserving peace, national reconciliation and consolidating democracy in Angola.
Arlindo Hombo Mangango, who was speaking at a press conference, said that JURA is against acts that undermine national peace, unity and reconciliation, difficultly achieved in 2002,
For this reason, he advocated the need for greater involvement of Sovereignty bodies, government institutions, parties and society in general, in the combination of efforts to combat acts of political intolerance and others that compromise the socio-political stability of the country.
He added that every citizen should feel committed to preserving peace, reconciliation and national unity, as well as consolidating the democratic State based on the rule of law.
JURA, UNITA’s youth organization, has its birthday on the 18th of July, in memory of its patron David Jonatão Chingunji “Samumbwila”, who died on the same day in 1974.
