Africa-Press – Angola. Angola presented, on Monday, typical dishes, at the International Festival of Arts, Culture and Gastronomy, in the city of Managua, Nicaragua.

According to a press release from the Angolan embassy in Cuba, the country also showed the public literature with works by Angolan authors, handicrafts, records of the most diverse musical styles, traditional costumes, among other artistic manifestations.

Debuting at the event, citizens of various nationalities tasted the best of national cuisine.

According to the organizers, the festival, which is now in its ninth edition, is a propitious space for cultural diversity and the appreciation of the artistic and culinary richness of different nations, representing a wide range of cultures and traditions.

Color, food, drink, gunpowder, music, typical dances, equestrian parades, bullfights, promises and religious acts are part of these festivities that can last for several days.

Organized by the Nicaraguan Tourism Institute (Intur) and other institutions, the event brought together representatives from 42 countries from five continents and has, among its objectives, promoting unity among nations.

Located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Nicaragua is a Central American country known for its impressive landscapes, including lakes, volcanoes and beaches.

Nicaragua is famous for its large number of festivals and traditions. Most of the celebrations revolve around the Catholic religion, implemented during the Spanish colony.

Diplomatic relations between Angola and Nicaragua were established on September 6, 1979.
