Program

Regarding the program of the conferences, Liberty Chiyaka highlighted that the debates will have three panels, the first being on democracy, with themes such as “Analysis of democracy in Angola, positive and negative aspects”, “The role of the deputy of the UNITA Parliamentary Group in consolidation of the Democratic Rule of Law, what stance?” and “The democratic reality in SADC and CPLP; Lessons for Angola.”

The second panel, he explained, on citizenship will address “the institutionalization of local authorities – reality in Cape Verde” and “AN’s relationship with citizens and civil society organizations”.

He said that the third panel, called “Inclusive Development”, has on its agenda issues related to the principles and rules for the preparation of the General State Budget, inspection mechanisms, public accounts and macro-economic indicators, as well as the risks of economic dependence Angolan to oil.

At a press conference, Liberty Chiyaka said that parliamentarians will also carry out visits to the 14 municipalities in the province of Malanje and members of civil society organizations and experts on economic issues were invited as speakers.

Since the II Legislature of the AN, UNITA has already held ten parliamentary days in different provinces of the country, with the last, in March 2022, taking place in Bié.
