USA wants to train Angolan technicians in the agricultural sector

Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy secretary of the Department of Agriculture of the United States of America, Xochitl Torres Small, said on Monday, in Luanda, that her country intends to invest in Angola in staff training, especially in the field of agriculture.

The American leader, who was speaking to the press after a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, António Assis, stated that her country cooperates with Angola on livestock Sunday, with exports of meat, as well as sheep, to the USA.

Aspects such as commerce, the distribution of school meals and family farming were also discussed at the meeting.

The interlocutors also reviewed the identification, by the USA, of seeds that are resilient to climate change and drought, as well as the transport of products from contained areas of the country using the Lobito corridor.

On the occasion, minister António Assis recalled that there are legal instruments initialed by the presidents of Angola, João Lourenço, and the US, Joe Biden, which have already begun to be implemented.
