Africa-Press – Angola. The municipality of Viana, province of Luanda, hosts, this Thursday, the fourth edition of “Jango da Constitution”, which aims to address issues related to children’s rights and freedoms.
The event, promoted by the Constitutional Court, will take place at the Youth House, where judges and the public will interact on the subject, in common language and without the complexity of terms used by the courts.
To this end, a delegation from the Constitutional Court met, this week, with the Municipal Administration of Viana to arrange arrangements for the event, in reference to the celebrations of the institution’s 16th anniversary, to be celebrated on June 17th, and the child’s month.
According to the event’s spokesperson, Celmira Barros, Jango da Constitution aims to promote open, dynamic and interactive debates around fundamental rights and freedoms, leading children from a young age to assume a social and participatory nature about Constitution of the Republic of Angola (CRA).
It should be noted that the third edition took place in the municipality of Cacuaco where the president of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, advocated the need for families, society and the State to reinforce measures to protect children against all forms of abandonment, discrimination, oppression and exploration.
This year, the Constitutional Court launched the “Jango da Constitution” project in the municipality of Andulo, Bié province, with the aim of addressing aspects related to the CRA with society in a simpler and more open way.
The Jango of the Constitution allows the judges of this superior court to clarify citizens with clear and objective language on specific matters of the CRA, as it defines the political, economic, social, cultural and environmental aspirations.
