Africa-Press – Angola. The Strategic Plan for Comprehensive Youth Development for the period 2024-2027 safeguards, among other aspects, technical-professional training, assured this Thursday, in Cuito, Bié province, the Secretary of State for Youth, Francisco Boaventura Chitapa.
When presenting the document to members of the provincial government, youth associations and guests, Francisco Chitapa said that the idea is to take concrete measures to offer more jobs and self-employment.
The Strategic Plan for Comprehensive Youth Development, he explained, also highlights more opportunities for young people in leisure areas, new projects in the fields of education, culture, economy and agriculture, for the progress of the country and the well-being of young people.
In turn, the vice-governor for the Technical and Infrastructure sector of this province, Edgar Hilário, reiterated the Government of Bié’s commitment to implementing projects in favor of young people in this part of the country and beyond.
The president of the Provincial Football Association, Augusto Teles, highlighted the need for the plan to ensure the construction of more sports courts in schools, strengthening the partnership between the Ministries of Youth and Sports (MINJUD) and Education, to encourage school sports.
The president of the Bié High School Students’ Association, Zeferino Mendes, called for the need to create an operational plan that gives more opportunities to youth.
For the association leader, he must also prioritize projects such as construction of libraries and other sports infrastructures, green spaces and leisure, preparation of plots of land for directed self-construction and others, aiming to ensure the well-being of this fringe.
The Strategic Plan for Comprehensive Youth Development aims to reinforce the protection of young people’s rights, promote and ensure their inclusion and participation in the country’s process of political, social, economic and cultural transformation and development.
