According to an announcement made by the movement “Together for the Officialization of Futsal in Cape Verde”, the first edition of the Inter-Islands Women’s Futsal Championship in Cape Verde is scheduled to start on August 27, with the final to be held on September 4, 2023. However, the organization says it is still looking for more partners to support this initiative.
The draw for the competition will be carried out by the movement “Juntos Pela Oficialização do Futsal” on the 29th of this month, in the city of Praia.
In a press release, the organization says it “hopes” to have the “same support” from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to realize this “divas dream” of futsal, in the same way that they had a strong engagement last year in the inter-islands masculine.
The Boa Vista futsal nucleus, a branch of the “Together for the Officialization of Futsal in Cape Verde” movement, will be responsible for hosting the competition and taking care of all the logistics and ensuring that the competition runs smoothly.
