Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Bestfly Group, led by Angolan businessman Nuno Pereira, and which also owns Transporte Interilhas de Cabo Verde (TICV), announced this week the acquisition of MS Aviation, an executive aviation company based in Austria.

The acquisition, according to the NewsAvia website, is part of Bestfly’s European expansion strategy.

According to the same source, MS Aviation is an aircraft asset management company based in Austria, which offers complete support solutions for various types of aircraft.

Due to the acquisition, MS Aviation’s offices will also move to Graz, Austria.

“Bestfly has developed an expansion strategy that focuses on critical steps in the European and Caribbean markets. Building on our recent additions to our executive board, we are executing on this multi-phase expansion strategy. The acquisition of MS Aviation is a critical part of this growth strategy”, explained Nuno Pereira, president and CEO of Grupo Bestfly.

Support base in Europe

According to him, the acquisition of MS Aviation provides a new support base for bestfly in Europe, from which they will expand the existing corporate aircraft management services, add another link to the VIP charter business in Europe and establish a structure ” broader” range of ACMI solutions for commercial aircraft.

“We are already evaluating several types of commercial aircraft to add to our commercial aviation experience. The entry into the Bestfly aviation group and the support of its strong leadership team, with a significant presence in the market, is another step towards expanding the capabilities of MS Aviation”, assured, in turn, Michael Mayer, Director of Accounts at MS Aviation.

Mayer also highlighted that the company has a “good experience” in Gulfstream, Bombardier and Dassault executive jets, so this is another area of ​​“efficiency that will be added to Bestfly’s operations in Europe”.

It should be recalled that the Angolan Bestfly group bought 70% of the share capital of TICV from the Spaniards of Binter, leaving the remaining 30% with the Cape Verdean State.
