Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean international boxer Nancy Moreira represents Cape Verde in the “Les Ceintures” tournament, taking place in France from 11 to 13 May.
According to information provided by the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee (COC), the tournament includes the participation of boxers from Germany, Canada, Kuwait, Holland, Italy, Sweden, Slovakia, Cyprus, Portugal, Congo, Ireland, Lithuania, Belgium, Switzerland , Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Algeria and Morocco, in 25 weight categories.
Cape Verde already has a name made in this tournament “Les Ceintures”, since the Cape Verdean athlete, David Pina, also a “boxer” won one of the editions of this tournament.
Nancy Moreira is one of ten Cape Verdean athletes with Olympic scholarships, who are seeking the minimum requirements for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
