Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde and the Cape Verde Tourism Institute (ITCV) have been nominated for the 2025 Africa Tourism Awards. The country is competing in the categories of best beach destination, best tourism management, and best promotional video.

The ITCV released information and voting links on its official Facebook page, while the Tourism Development Society of the Islands of Boa Vista and Maio (SDTIBM) congratulated the country and the institution today on their “remarkable nominations.”

“These nominations are a clear reflection of the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in building a sustainable, high-quality tourism industry in Cape Verde. It is a recognition of the positive impact the sector has on our communities and a sign that we are on the right track,” according to the SDTIBM publication.

The same source expressed satisfaction with the recognition and reiterated their support for the efforts of the ITCV and the country in general to enhance the islands’ tourism potential.

The winners’ announcement ceremony will be held in London on November 2nd during the World Travel Market (WTM).

Voting for the awards is now open, and both organizations are urging public participation so that Cape Verde can win these important awards.
