Africa-Press – Cape verde. Praia City Council today gathered directors, municipal councilors and technicians for an awareness workshop with a view to drawing up a Municipal Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development, one of the activities of the “Praia + Inclusiva” (Praia + Inclusive) project ”.
As stated by the Councilor for Social Action, Fernando Pinto, the municipality of Praia is engaged in the process of drawing up this important plan and saw fit to seek good practices from the City Council of Madrid in the socialization of the 2030 agenda, as well as the 17 Development Objectives Sustainable.
The purpose, stressed the councilor, is to bring together the essential elements so that there is a more participatory methodology in the communities, remembering, however, that the city council has implemented this exercise in other projects.
“For example, last year, in the preparation of the budget, we were in some neighborhoods listening to people so that they could say the needs and priorities for the respective neighborhoods. And now also so that all the directors, technicians, councilors and municipal deputies who are already in the room can participate and absorb the maximum amount of information and can ask questions as happened in the workshop yesterday”, he informed, reiterating that the idea is to collect subsidies taking into account the technical aspects of the plan.
