Government Authorizes IEFP to Issue Certificates to Trainees

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government authorized the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training to issue training certificates to approximately five thousand graduates who completed their courses but had not received them due to lack of full tuition payment.

The measure is contained in Resolution No. 89/2025, dated September 5, and covers graduates who attended courses between 2018 and 2024.

The decision, according to the Government, was made following the expansion of free vocational training to all levels of the Social Registry.

The government justifies the decision as a way to “guarantee equal treatment, promote social justice, and recognize the public investment already made in the training of thousands of young people and adults throughout the country.”

“The issuance of vocational training certificates is subject to the signing, in duplicate, of a declaration between the graduate and the respective training entity, indicating the amount of outstanding tuition fees and the waiver thereof,” the same resolution states.
