Africa-Press – Cape verde. Grémio Desportivo de Nhagar de Assomada, Santa Catarina, was crowned regional champion of Santiago Norte for Under-17 by beating ADEC de São Miguel by 1-0 today and will represent the Region in the national that starts on March 25th.

In the match played at Estádio Municipal do Tarrafal, the only goal of the match was scored by Djedje in the 85th minute.

However, the title of least beaten goalkeeper went to Raffa, from ADEC, with only four goals conceded, and top scorer for Tiago, from the same club, with nine goals scored in four games.

Grémio Desportivo de Nhagar will represent Santiago Norte in the national under-17 football championship, which starts on March 25.

The representative of Santiago Norte is in the group, whose games will be played in Praia, along with representatives of Maio, Santiago Sul, Fogo and Boa Vista.

Group A – Dispute in São Vicente

In Group A, based in São Vicente, there will be EFIZ (title champion) and the champions of Sal (Gaviões), São Nicolau (Ultramarina), São Vicente (Batuque), Santo Antão Sul (Académica do Porto Novo) and Santo Antão Norte (Solpontense).

The top two in each group qualify for the “final four”, whose location will be announced “soon” by the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF).

The national under-17 football championship ends on April 8th.
