Africa-Press – Cape verde. A terceira edição da campanha de limpeza às praias e outras zonas da ilha, “Sal a Pente Fino”, acontece no dia 10 de junho, por toda a orla marítima da Ilha do Sal. Esta ação de Responsabilidade Social envolve grupos organizados nas comunidades, empresas e instituições, assim como organizações civis e não governamentais, e tem uma forte componente de educação ambiental, através de incentivos à reciclagem de materiais e redução do consumo de plástico.
O evento, uma das maiores campanhas de limpeza realizada em simultâneo em diferentes pontos da ilha do Sal, propõe que cada grupo, previamente organizado e inscrito, se desloque à zona alocada pela organização, para a coleta dos resíduos que dão à costa ou que são deixados para trás pelos banhistas.
According to a press release, “Sal a Pente Fino” aims to clean up the island of Sal, based on the perspective of Regenerative Tourism, which proposes a change in values that go beyond minimizing damage to the natural heritage of tourist destinations, caused by mass tourism over the years.
Preserve, recover, rescue and regenerate the negative impacts caused by tourist activity
“This modality seeks not only to preserve, but also to recover, rescue, regenerate, the various negative impacts that we have already caused to ecosystems, cultures and individuals as a tourist activity. These actions drive the population towards more ecological habits. Hence the need to involve the entire Salense community – nationals and foreigners, making them aware that it is the responsibility of each of us residents to care for, restore and safeguard our resources” reads in the statement.
The 3rd edition of “Sal a Pente Fino”, organized by the companies Cabo MICE and Sea Life Experience, has the support of the Municipality of Sal, VIVO Energy, Águas de Ponta Preta, Hotéis Oásis, Hotel Morabeza, among others.
