Joana Rosa explained that the move from the Sotavento Court from Assomada to the City of Praia will solve a problem that has been raised by the higher councils and “has to be solved”, as it will avoid transporting cases and travel by magistrates. and lawyers, and thus remove the constraints on the system.
“The relocation of the Sotavento Court is a necessity, because this has a direct impact on the productivity of the court itself, although we must recognize the great work that the two courts have done, albeit with constraints”, explained Rosa.
Joana Rosa, who as a national deputy defended the installation of the Court of Appeal in the capital, with the argument that the largest number of appeals cases come from the Comarca da Praia, admitted that the transfer of the Court to Assomada could have better results.
