Another awareness campaign will be held on the 24th in neighborhoods of Praia city to reinforce road safety and raise awareness about the importance of complying with traffic rules, this time within the context of the Christmas holiday period. This information was released today by the Ministry of Internal Administration.
The “Stop” operation is promoted by the Ministry of Internal Administration, through the Directorate-General of Road Transport (DGTR), in partnership with the National Police and the Sigui Sabura entertainment agency.
As explained in a statement, the Christmas season is characterized by increased road traffic, higher alcohol consumption, and greater circulation of emigrant citizens returning to the country to celebrate with their families, as well as the general public.
The aim is to reinforce citizens’ awareness of the importance of prudent and responsible driving, contributing to the reduction of road accidents and the preservation of human lives during the festive season.
The Stop/Awareness Operation will take place at the following locations in Praia:
– Praia Shopping;
– Avenida Cidade de Lisboa, next to Shell;
– Avenida Cidade de Lisboa, Capelinha;
– Paiol, in front of the Templo Maior;
– Tira ChapeĢu, next to Korpore
