São Salvador do Mundo: Prime Minister promises “soon” construction of the Health Center

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, reaffirmed Friday, 24th, that the São Salvador do Mundo Health Center will be built and that the Government is just waiting for the land to be made available for the launch of the tender and subsequent construction. .

The statements by the head of the Government, quoted by Inforpress, were made on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Registry of Registries and Notary Office of São Salvador do Mundo, in Achada Igreja, yesterday, Friday, 24.

According to Ulisses Correia e Silva, the aforementioned health structure already has guaranteed funding from the Government and aims to “endow this municipality with a Health Center with dignity and the size of this municipality that houses 8,831 inhabitants”.

Investment in water, urban and environmental requalification

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also announced an investment in the field of water and urban and environmental redevelopment in that municipality in the interior of Santiago.

“In the month of July we will lay the first stone for the construction of the water network that will arrive here in São Salvador do Mundo, so that, working with the City Council, we can make piped water reach people’s homes”, he said.

Requalification of the city of Achada Igreja

The Prime Minister also promised the requalification of the city of Achada Igreja, which, as he said, was enrolled in the Requalification, Rehabilitation and Accessibility Program (PRRA) that had a halt due to resource difficulties due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Thus, he guaranteed that, with the resumption of works within the scope of the PRRA, the budget that was foreseen for the requalification of this “small city” will be made available, which, as he guaranteed, will bring urban and environmental quality and serve as self-esteem for its population.

“These are the projects that are firm and that will soon take place here in the Picos”, agreed Correia e Silva.
