Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verde women’s under-19 handball team won , last Sunday, the 23rd, the bronze medal in the Challenge Trophy, beating Morocco’s counterpart by 30-26, in a match played in Bamako (Mali).
Cape Verde, which was in second place in Group B, lost its chance to reach the final on Saturday, 22nd, when it was defeated in the semi-finals by Senegal (32-30).
In the first phase of the competition, the national team beat Guinea-Bissau (50-20), in the opening game, Mali (31-29) and lost to Guinea-Conakry (45-22).
Remember that the Challenge Trophy is an international handball tournament for developing countries. The tournament takes place in male and female.
