World boxing: Nancy Moreira wins again

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The boxer Nancy Moreira won this afternoon, the 21st, the second fight against her opponent from Mongolia, in the women’s boxing world championship.

After beating her opponent Botswana in her debut, Nancy Moreira wins again in India.

This time she defeated her opponent from Mongolia, adding another victory at the Women’s Boxing World Championship.

To A Nação online, the boxer has already said she is confident in her work and potential and aims to go far in the world championship.

“I will fight until the last second. A world is a world. I really want this and, therefore, I will fight with everything I have and make my country proud”, she says.

Nancy Moreira holds a silver medal in the African boxing championship and 5th place in the last boxing world championship, held in Turkey.

The 33-year-old boxer, born in Praia and resident in Portugal since the age of 8, ranks 5th worldwide and 2nd in Africa in the 63-66 kg category, a position that results from winning 100 victories in 110 fights.

With an Olympic Solidarity scholarship, Nancy Moreira is accompanied by coach Jorge Silva.

The women’s boxing world championship takes place in India from March 14 to 27.
