EIPA TO HOST EXPORT SEMINAR TO EMPOWER ESWATINI BUSINESSES

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) will host a dedicated seminar titled “Export Guide: How to Start Exporting” on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, from 09:30 to 10:45 at the FNB Business Chamber, during the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) 2025.

The seminar, organised with support from partner agencies including the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), ESWASA, and the International Trade Centre (ITC), is aimed at equipping local entrepreneurs and businesses with practical tools to expand into international markets.

This initiative follows the launch of the Export Guide 2025, a step-by-step manual designed to simplify the export journey for Eswatini enterprises. The guide outlines 10 key steps to exporting, from assessing readiness and conducting market research, to navigating customs clearance, exploring trade finance, managing logistics, and successfully entering foreign markets.

Building Confidence in Exporting

Thandeka Dlamini, Manager – External Trade Promotion at EIPA, explained the value of the programme:

“Exporting can be a powerful growth driver for Eswatini businesses, but many are discouraged by the complexity of the process. Through this seminar and the Export Guide 2025, we aim to demystify exporting, giving local companies the confidence and knowledge to expand into regional and global markets.”

Participants will also learn how Eswatini can leverage preferential trade agreements such as SACU, SADC, COMESA, AfCFTA, AGOA, and the EU Economic Partnership Agreement. Together, these frameworks provide Eswatini exporters with duty-free or preferential access to markets representing more than 2 billion consumers worldwide.
