Africa-Press – Eswatini. FNB Eswatini has injected E50 000 into the 2025 Swazi Rally, strengthening its support for Eswatini’s entertainment and tourism industries. The sponsorship was officially handed over today at Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo, where this year’s rally will take place from 29 to 31 August.
The bank’s contribution is aimed at ensuring that bikers and rally-goers from Eswatini and across the region enjoy seamless banking services throughout the popular calendar event.
Chantell Littler, FNB’s Executive Head of Commercial Banking, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to growing Eswatini’s tourism sector. “We know just how crucial the Swazi Rally is for our entertainment and tourism industries. We firmly believe that these industries form the bedrock for sustained economic growth and prosperity in Eswatini,” Littler said in a statement delivered on her behalf by Nkosingiphile Mkhonta.
She added that the Swazi Rally creates opportunities for emaSwati and international visitors to access convenient banking services during the event. “As a business, Sitintile Eswatini futsi asiyindzawo. We are committed to Eswatini, and we believe that partnering with an event of Swazi Rally’s magnitude allows us to bring this commitment to life,” she said.
Swazi Rally Treasurer, Sonia Paiva, welcomed the gesture, saying the bank’s support enhances the overall experience for patrons. “Our attendees are able to withdraw, swipe and fully utilise the ATM even though they come from all over Africa and some from beyond. The support from FNB means a great deal to the Swazi Rally,” Paiva said.
Now in its 32nd year, the Swazi Rally continues to attract bikers from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique and other countries. The three-day event remains one of Eswatini’s largest gatherings, drawing both local and international visitors.
