Africa-Press – Eswatini. It is an entry fees discount of up to 50 per cent for fans in the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVAF)-sponsored Ingwenyama Cup.
According to Article 18 Section 18.1.1 of the Ingwenyama Cup Rules and Regulations, the minimum entrance fee for games in this tournament is E20, while the maximum is E50.
Additionally, Article 18 Section 18.1.2 of the Ingwenyama Cup Rules and Regulations states that children under the age of 12 will be levied half the relevant entrance fee. “The minimum entrance fee for games under this tournament shall be E20, while the maximum shall be E50. The exact entrance fees to be charged at the various matches of this tournament shall be determined by the management committee. Children below the age of 12 years will be charged half the applicable entrance fee,” reads Article 18 Section 18.1.1 and 18.1.2 of the Ingwenyama Cup.
Compared to the league, the entry fees for the Ingwenyama Cup are generally lower. This presents an excellent opportunity for the tournament to attract more spectators to the stadiums, especially when compared to the domestic league, where the minimum entry fee for Category B single-header games is E30. Article 49 Section 49.1 of the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Rules and Regulations explicitly states the minimum entry fees for Category A, being E40 and B matches, being E30 in accordance to the PLE Rules and Regulations. It also mentions that children below the age of 12 will be charged half the specified entry fee. Furthermore, Article 49.2 of the PLE Rules and Regulations states that the minimum entrance fee for double-header matches is E50.
Category B matches are mainly for those with a history of attracting less numbers to stadiums. “Entrance fees at all premier league matches shall be a minimum of E30 for a Category B or higher single match and a minimum of E40 for a Category A single header. Children below the age of 12 years will be charged half the profile,” reads the Article. Meanwhile, lower entry fees have the advantage of increasing attendance. They make attending matches more affordable for a wider range of people, including those with limited disposable incomes. By reducing entry fees, more individuals can now access live matches, even those who were previously unable to do so due to financial constraints. This inclusivity allows fans to experience the excitement of live matches first hand.
