Africa-Press – Eswatini. Machawe Mavuso,the Mkhiweni Member of Parliament(MP) has accused traffic police officers of using their private cars to stage roadblocks with the intention of collecting money for groceries from the public.

Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Phindile declined to comment.

The former MP alleged that, he was stopped by a traffic police officer identified as Ginindza at Matsapha on Saturday afternoon and, the officer demanded thirty Rands(R30,00).

“Sesiphelile ngulaMaphoyisa lamgcwacweni ye-editor, nyalo liphoyisa laka-Ginindza selitsetse R30,00 wami, litsi bengkhuluma nelucingo. They were staging a roadblock with a private car and once they collect our monies, they buy groceries. Lana nje bekufuneka imali ye-grocery sengetfuswa ngekuvalelwa”, said the former MP when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
