Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III has once again affirmed Eswatini’s leadership role in regional peace and democracy by appointing Themba N. Masuku, former Deputy Prime Minister, as the Head of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Electoral Observation Mission to Malawi. The mission will oversee Malawi’s General Elections scheduled for 16 September 2025. Masuku is Lubombo Regional Administrator(RA)
Eswatini at the Heart of Regional Democracy
The appointment comes at a significant moment, as His Majesty assumes the position of Incoming Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation (TROIKA).
