Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati is allegedly concerned about the performance and behaviors of some of his once trusted servants and as a result, the looming reshuffle might not only affect Cabinet Ministers but others within the Governing Departments of the Tinkhundla system of Government.
A senior royal insider told that, “King Mswati is very secretive and nobody knows the changes he might announce” but the source said the King feels the Tinkhundla system of Government “is being weakened by individuals, some who have been holding same positions” for years.
“I saw you wrote about a looming Cabinet reshuffle, actually we expecting surprise changes even in the key Departments working for Ingwenyama. But the King is very secretive on such things, even when consulting and researching about someone, he just ask a question indirectly “kube ungamuva atsi unjani bani, usebenta njani bese uyabindza uyalalela. Asuke lapho atsi “wo cha kulungile siyabonga”. Phindze after maybe three months abute same question about the same person. As he grows older, he is demonstrating wisdom and takes time to analyze the situation before taking decisions,” said the royal insider.
But King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane when responding to this publication specifically, on the looming Cabinet reshuffle said, the King normally acts in the best interest of the country when approving a reshuffle.
Word is going around within the royal circles regarding a looming reshuffle but even though the expectation was a “Cabinet reshuffle”, it has been disclosed that, the King wants changes even within governing structures of the Tinkhundla system of Government.
