Africa-Press – Eswatini. Athletes have only today to submit entries for the upcoming Second Track & Field National Championships Qualifiers set for Saturday (May 10, 2025) at Mavuso Sports Centre.
These are the last qualifiers for the athletes to make it to the Athletics Eswatini (AE) National Championships.
“Team Managers and Athletics Clubs, Please be reminded that today (Wednesday, May 7, 2025) is the final deadline for submitting entries for the upcoming Second Track & Field National Championships Qualifier, scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
No late entries will be accepted, as we aim to ensure a fair and well-organized competition for all athletes. Thank you for your cooperation,” reads a statement from AE.
The first qualifiers were held on April 26, 2025 at Mavuso Sports were athletes came in their numbers in their quest to make to the National Championships. Athletes will be eligible to compete in the National Championships if they had competed to at least one qualifier.
Some of the events they will be competing in during the qualifiers on Saturday in the track events include 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1 500m, 3 000m, 5 000m, 4x100m and 4x400m.
In the field events, the athletes are expected to compete in high jump, long jump, javelin, triple jump, javelin and shot put among others.
