Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has commenced the construction of Nkwene bridge previously damaged by the heavy rains, Government online platforms reported on Saturday.
“This vital project falls under Nkwene Inkhundla and aims to restore access for communities across the Mkhondvo River, including KaKholwane, Ekuphumuleni, Baleni, Buseleni, Mandulo, and Tholulwazi.The structure is among several that suffered severe damage due to the heavy rains experienced in January 2025. In response, the MoPWT is working to rehabilitate all affected drainage structures to ensure safe and reliable connectivity for all impacted areas”, reads the online report.
