From humble beginnings to headlining one of Eswatini’s biggest hip-hop events, Simphiwe Parkim, professionally known as PacMan SD, continues to make bold moves in the local music scene. The ambitious rapper and event host is gearing up for his much-anticipated show, #FillUpPrimavera2025, set to take place on 1 November 2025 at Primavera, Ngwenya, from 12 p.m. to midnight.
PacMan SD, who was born and raised in Ngwenya, has become a household name, especially in the country’s northern region and among Swazi music lovers abroad. He is currently riding high on the success of his latest single “Makasane”, which has been making waves across various streaming platforms.
The artist’s musical journey began at a tender age, where countless late-night studio sessions shaped him into one of Eswatini’s most respected lyricists. Over the years, he has graced local clubs, talent shows, and major events, building a solid reputation for his creative wordplay and passion for authentic Siswati hip-hop.
“My inspiration has always been the people who support my music. There were times I felt like giving up, but they kept me going. I look up to artists such as Qibho, Lyrikal Busta, Duncan SA, and Bholoja, mainly for what he has done for Eswatini music,” he shared.
PacMan’s style fuses Siswati punchlines with rhythmic hip-hop flows, often drawing comparisons to Qibho Intellectual. His music aims to inspire and motivate listeners to become the best versions of themselves.
Recently, a viral clip of the rapper being carried in a wheelbarrow as part of his performance stunt caught massive attention, gaining over 50K views and 6K likes on TikTok, and 100K views with 7K+ likes on Facebook, after being featured by Eswatini Celebrities News.
Following his debut project “Black Extended Play”, PacMan SD has announced that he is currently working on a new single titled “Army Commander”, produced by Eardrumz, which is expected to drop before the end of the month.
“I may not have worked with any famous artist yet, but I can guarantee that I’ve worked with the best,” he confidently said.
With Fill Up Primavera 2025, PacMan SD aims to provide a platform for both upcoming and established artists to showcase their talents. The event will feature a dynamic lineup of musicians, DJs, comedians, and dancers, making it a celebration of music, lifestyle, and community spirit.
