SPAR Group CEO Angelo Swartz Resigns

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Angelo Swartz, the SPAR Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has resigned and will leave the retailer at the end of this month, Moneyweb reported this week.

It has been reported that, Swartz took the helm after a chaotic period which saw previous CEO Brett Botten “retire” after less than two years in the position.

“The group had faced a number of questions related to governance and eventually Botten left. At the time, it said it was confident it would be able to recruit a successor within three months. Together with the announcement relating to Botten, Spar said that the CEO before him, Graham O’Connor, would not seek re-election as a non-executive director at the 2023 AGM,” reads the Moneyweb report in part.
