Africa-Press – Eswatini. A birthday turned into pure magic for teacher Phathumuzi Ndzima, who sprinted in disbelief as his number was called in the highly anticipated Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) 2025 Win-a-Car Competition, sponsored by FNB Eswatini and Eswatini Auto Fin/Kia.
The draw, staged before a packed crowd at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre sports arena, was graced by His Majesty King Mswati III, who handed the honour of picking the winning ticket to guest of honour Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
In a moment thick with suspense, President Mnangagwa drew ticket number 142 – a number that carried double significance for Ndzima, as he was also celebrating his birthday. “This is the perfect gift,” the visibly ecstatic teacher said after being introduced to His Majesty by FNB CEO.
The atmosphere inside the arena was electric, with the crowd erupting in cheers as Ndzima received the keys to his brand-new Kia sedan, courtesy of FNB and Eswatini Auto Fin/Kia.
The Win-a-Car Competition officially closed entries on Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a pre-draw at 5 p.m., before the final crowning moment on Saturday.
Adding to the celebratory mood, President Mnangagwa was presented with a Premier League Eswatini football jersey replica, courtesy of 8Bet, while His Majesty also received a replica jersey as a token of appreciation.
For Ndzima, the moment was more than just luck, it was destiny. For the Trade Fair, the giveaway was yet another reminder of why the EITF remains the Kingdom’s biggest stage for innovation, partnerships and life-changing moments.
