Nda Mariam Jagne Foundation hands over solar borehole to Kandonku

Nda Mariam Jagne family foundation, Friday handed over a newly constructed Solar Borehole to the community of Kandonku village in Foni Brefet District.

The borehole project which was worth over $7, 500, will provide the community with 18,000 liters of clean water daily.

Ndey Jobe-Njie, co-founder of the foundation applauded the entire community for coming out in their large numbers to witness the handing over ceremony of the newly constructed solar borehole, saying that last year they donated some items to Kandonku village.

She added that Nda Mariam Jagne family Foundation was established to support maternal mortality, saying that her husband Pa Modou lost her mother while giving birth.

She said no woman should die while giving birth, adding that the foundation is ready to support children who are interested in playing football. She urged the community to make best use of the newly constructed borehole.

For his part, Scorpion captain and founder of the foundation Pa Modou Jagne expressed delight for handing over borehole, noting that the newly constructed borehole would go a long way in complementing government efforts.

Nato Manneh, a resident of Kandonku thanked Nda Mariam Family Foundation for the tremendous support.

Nda Mariam Jagne Family Foundation was established by Scorpions captain Pa ModouJagne and wife NdeyJobe Jagne, aimed at supporting communities in the country.
