Sara Bojo Basic Circle in the Upper River Region is without structures and no furniture as children sit under trees to conduct classes. The school is one of the schools the President of the Gambia Adama Barrow attended. This school had its roof blown off by windstorm since and still not repaired.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Hon Alhagie H Sowe the Member of Parliament for Jimara Constituency, said it is very sad to see children of his Constituency sitting under trees conducting classes. He said how can one imagine that such is happening under the current dispensation?

The Member told the Daily News that no student can do well under such poor conditions. He therefore appeal for donation from individuals, organisations and well-wishers to support Sare Bojo Basic Cycle School with furniture.

“The students are sitting outside under a tree to have their lessons and this is undone. I therefore appeal for urgent intervention to remedy the situation” Hon Sowe stressed.

Sowe concluded that under a GDC led government Gambian children will not be subjected to such uncalled for condition. He challenged government to pay an immediate attention as they are tax payers too.
