The people of Yonna Musa in Central River Region Sami District have recently conducted road maintenance exercise on Yonna and Jalokoto road.
During rainy seasons, the condition of the road pose serious problem for people, particularly vehicle owners.
Alkalo Sorry Ba Touray highlighted the importance of the road in area, saying it is the main road the people of the area use for their daily activities. He thank the Yonna youths for their turn out to participate in the road maintenance, telling them that what they did was their responsibility.
Village Development Committee (VDC) chairman Morrow Camara and adviser Sainey Konta both observed that the ‘important’ exercise will facilitate easy access of people and their goods to Bansang highway and other places.
Youth coordinator Demba Touray thanked the Banni ward councilor Sorry Darboe for helping them with two gallons of fuel from the Area Council. He also thanked the youth for their participation and urged them to continue their collaboration to national development.
