Africa-Press – Kenya. Eldoret Falcons have set their sights on the Kenya Women Division One league after thrashing the University of Eldoret in the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Cup over the weekend.

Falcons will host Bungoma Queens at the Marula Primary School grounds on Saturday in a top of the table clash. Bungoma Queens are second while Falcons occupy fourth position in the 16-team league. The duo has 23 points apiece but separated by goal difference.

Falcons’ coach Michael Wachira said their target is to return to the Premier League next season after spending three seasons in the second tier. “Our target is the Premier League and the players are dedicated on winning matches so that we can seal a return to WPL.”

Kisped Queens lead zone ‘B’ standings with 28 points from 11 matches. “The intention is to secure maximum points against Bungoma. That will guarantee us second position and boost our promotion hopes,” Wachira added. Falcons humiliated UoE 5-0 in the FKF Women Cup round of 32 as Rose Akinyi scored four goals.
