Africa-Press – Kenya. Agano Party presidential candidate David Mwaure has dismissed the recent opinion polls which showed he has less than five per cent popularity.

Speaking to KTN News on Friday, Mwaure claimed that his popularity is more than what the poll firms indicated.

“I’m concerned when two days ago when the three pollstars ran their findings and I wondered if it was choreographed. I believe I have surpassed what they have,” he said.

Mwaure said there are places he has not been able to reach and campaign but with the use of social media, his reach is larger.

“I do not believe in the figures they show,” he stressed.

The Agano candidate expressed optimism that he will clinch the presidency come after the August 9 general election.

“I’m very encouraged by a lot of things and I’m meeting many people who are saying that they will vote for me and they are with me,” he said.

Mwaure is in the race against Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja Umoja coalition, William Ruto of UDA and George Wajackoyah of Roots party.
