Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has donated Sh3 million to mama mboga in Bungoma County.

Speaking in Kimilili on Sunday, he said the amount will be given to Governor Kenneth Lusaka for their projects.

“Nitapatia Lusaka millioni tatu aendelee kuwapanga na mfanye biashara,” he said.

At the same time, he donated Sh10 million to Kimilili Girls’ School for renovations of the institution.

For the Kimilili Huduma Centre, the President pledged Sh5 million to complete its construction.

He also pledged Sh3 million for a bus.

Ruto thanked the residents for welcoming and hosting him alongside Kenyans who travelled to Masinde Muliro Stadium for the Madaraka Day fete.

While in Kimilili, the President reiterated his call for a united Kenya and people-centred politics.

“Let us not start divisive politics. Please let us leaders not walk the path of tribal politics. It is a dangerous path. Let us focus in the transformation of Kenya,” he said.

He warned against divisive politics stating that tribal and ethnic based tribes will not serve to the greatness of the country.

He urged the MPs to undertake their mandate seriously, representing their electorates.

“Take up your mandate of oversight and legislation as required and that way we will build a strong united Kenya,” he said.

Ruto said Kenya has become a respected nation not only in Africa but also across the continent.
