Africa-Press – Lesotho. As countries around the globe today commemorate World AIDS Day on the theme: ‘ Take the Rights path: My Health, My right’, leaders have been encouraged to take the “rights” path in order to end AIDS which is a public health threat.
In his statement Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Mr. Antonio Guterres stated that AIDS will be overcome if the rights of everyone, everywhere, are protected. He emphasised that the inspirational advances made in the global HIV response have been powered by global solidarity and human rights.
