Africa-Press – Liberia. The new interim leadership of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has reinstated agent Valee B. Kromah as U-711 Chief of Manpower.
Kromah, who previously held the post under former Directors Marcus Zehyoue and Abraham Kromah, was reaffirmed in 2024 but later replaced by Agent Aaron Karzon during the tenure of recently dismissed Director Anthony Souh.
According to the LDEA press release, the removal sparked internal confusion within the Agency since Kromah was never officially relieved of his duties.
A review by the interim team, headed by Officer in Charge Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitzgerald T. M. Biago, confirmed that Kromah’s dismissal was never formal. As a result, he has been reinstated, while Karzon has been ordered to step down.
The LDEA stated that the decision is part of broader reforms aimed at restoring professionalism and integrity within the agency. It also warned the public not to conduct business with Karzon in the name of U-711.
