Africa-Press – Mauritius. The National Certificate L5 in Nursing: Nurse assistant and other healthcare programmes, a collaborative agreement between the Mauritius Institute of Health and C-Care Mauritius was launched yesterday by the Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Anil Kumar Bachoo, in Ebène.
The Chief Executive of CIEL Group and the Chairman of C-Care Mauritius, Mr Guillaume Dalais and the Chief Executive Officer of C-Care group, Mrs Hélène Echevin were also present on that occasion.
In his address, Minister Bachoo qualified the programme as a milestone in the health sector, geared towards promoting public interest and supporting national priorities in human capital development and healthcare excellence. He pointed out that it is poised to foster robust public-private partnership which he stressed, is vital to building a more resilient, equitable and truly high-quality healthcare system that serves every citizen.
“This collaboration is paramount for a small island nation like Mauritius, for it unites the public and private sector to confront shared challenges, persistent workforce shortages and the increasing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases”, said Mr Anil Kumar Bachoo.
The Health Minister recalled that this partnership demonstrates that quality training and professional development should not be confined to one sector. When public-private healthcare professionals work towards the same standards, patients benefit from safer, more consistent and effective care wherever they seek treatment, he stated.
He moreover expressed conviction that the training programme will result in elevated service quality, improved operational efficiency, and a healthier Nation.
