Africa-Press – Rwanda. Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano says they are not underrating any team and they will take all games at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup seriously.
The MLS side are paired in the same group with Al Ahly and Porto and Palmeiras. They will face the African powerhouse in the opening game of the competition at the ultramodern Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday, June 14.
“The objective is to try to compete to the best of our ability, just as we do in all competitions, knowing that it’s a top-level competition, that we’re going to face top-class teams.” Mascherano told the media.
“It’s a big honor that in the present day I can coach a team that’s going to take part in a competition as important as the FIFA Club World Cup,” he added.
Inter will be aiming to at least reach the semifinals of the competition as they boast a host of big named players including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets amongst others.
