Africa-Press – Rwanda. AS Kigali president Fabrice Ngoga Shema has emerged as the lone candidate for the president role at Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA).
The full list of candidates released by FERWAFA election committee on Monday, July 28, left Shema running unopposed for the role after Alphonse Munyatwali, whose term just expired, and Walter Hunde pulled out of race to run for the top position.
Should he take office, he will work with Claudine Garasabwe as first vice president in charge of Finance and administration, Richard Mugisha as second vice president in charge of technical matters and Thierry Nshuti as Commissioner in charge of Finance.
Other members on the team include Valvelde Nikita Gicanda (Commissioner in charge of women’s football), Désiré Niyitanga (Commission in charge of competitions), Fidele Kanamugire (Commissioner in charge of Technical and Development Committee), Louise Ndengeyingoma (Commissioner in charge of legal and governance committee) and Herbert Gatsinzi (Commissioner in charge of Medical Committee).
The FERWAFA elections will take place on August 30.
