APC Jagaban Pledges to Resolve Sierra Leone Ferry Crisis

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Businessman and politician Mohammed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as APC Jagaban has promised to address the country’s ferry issues by buying new Ferries.

This commitment comes in response to a recent incident where passengers traveling on the ferry from Lungi to Freetown were left distressed after the ferry broke down shortly after departure.

Jagaban emphasized, “Do not worry; I will put the ferry issue in the past. I will go particularly for the ferry because the ferry that is in Freetown is a death trap.” His statements reflect growing concerns over ferry safety, especially after eyewitnesses reported a sudden mechanical failure that forced the vessel to halt unexpectedly, causing frustration and fear among passengers.

Frustrated passengers expressed their disappointment, citing safety concerns and the inconvenience caused by the breakdown. Many described the experience as frightening due to the abrupt nature of the malfunction. Jagaban’s promises aims to address these pressing concerns and improve the ferry service for the people of Sierra Leone.
